April 9, 2014 — United States District Judge Richard Gergel of the District of South Carolina today appointed Simmons Hanly Conroy co-founder Jayne Conroy to the four-attorney Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the Lipitor Products Liability Litigation multi-district litigation. The litigation involves serious injuries, including the development of diabetes, in thousands of women who have been prescribed Lipitor to control cholesterol blood levels. Ms. Conroy is the only woman appointed to the Executive Committee to handle these tragic cases on behalf of thousands of women.
