Thank you for being a part of the Miles for Meso community and the 8th Annual Alton Miles for Meso 5K Run & 3K Fun Run/Walk. This year’s race had a record turnout, and we are thankful to everyone who took part in the day’s festivities.
Here is some additional information regarding post-race results, and how you can continue to be involved.

Make Your Voice Heard
At this year’s race, participants were able to fill out a postcard, which will be delivered to the U.S. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy. These postcards were pre-written and urged the EPA to finish the 1989 ban on asbestos to protect public health, the environment and future generations.
You, too, can do your part to advocate for a total ban on asbestos. Sign a letter to your Congress member urging them to stand up for a ban on asbestos.

Share Your Story
As a show of solidarity and community, ADAO highlights the stories of those who have been affected by asbestos through their “Share Your Story” feature on their website. If you are a mesothelioma warrior, consider sharing your story with others battling asbestos-related illnesses.
