More than 100 Clients of Simmons Hanly Conroy today were sent their settlement checks in the Yaz/Yasmin birth control medication personal injury litigation in which the two firms have successfully achieved settlements. The clients paid today are among the very first in the nation to receive settlement funds from Bayer AG, the defendant. The remaining, unsettled cases of Simmons Hanly Conroy clients are in negotiation and are expected to resolve early in 2013. Simmons Hanly Conroy shareholder Jayne Conroy served as Co-Chair of the Legal Briefing Committee in the federal multidistrict litigation involving the claims of tens of thousands of women injured by these medications.
